Rod of God Ministries has been spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1980. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this ministry has grown and extended its borders all over America, to Nairobi Kenya, East Africa, to Chochin, India, to New Zealand, to Australia, and Around the World.
Bishop Larry Allen
Bishop Larry Allen was born in Memphis, Tennessee and brought up in the Baptist church where he learned about Christ, but never knew him personally. By the time Bishop Larry Allen reached High School he had become a very energetic and studious young man. He was a member of the Who's Who Among American High School Students, becoming more involved in school and less concerned with the ritualism of church. Bishop Larry Allen became discontent with the church and decided to strike out on his own in seeking the answers of his life. Upon graduation, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Ann Armstrong, and joined the navy and was sent to San Diego, California. It was in San Diego, that the Lord brought Bishop Larry Allen’s search to a close. After he had exhausted himself experimenting with the counterfeit thrills of this world, a young man named Paul witnessed to him about Jesus.
Bishop Larry Allen received Jesus as his Lord and Saviour and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The Lord moved Bishop Larry Allen from San Diego, California to Durham, NC to complete his college education at North Carolina Central University. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B. A. degree, majoring in Psychology. It was during his college training that Bishop Larry Allen became a part of a major local, full gospel church. From this church, God allowed Bishop Allen to form a street ministering team that made an impact on the entire city. God began opening doors for Bishop Larry Allen to minister in churches, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowships', radio, and T. V. across the nation. God gave Bishop Larry Allen a vision that he would teach the Gospel throughout the state, nation, and the world, even to the uttermost parts of the earth. God said that he would minister spiritual salvation, spiritual feeding, the infilling of the Holy Ghost and fire, and the Word would be confirmed with signs and wonders following. After the vision, God made Bishop Allen and his family a vital part of the PTL Television Network staff. After several years with PTL and with their blessings, Bishop Larry Allen and his family were led into full-time ministry. The Rod Of God Ministries was formed and based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bishop Larry Allen has been to New Zealand and Australia. While ministering there, hundreds of souls were saved, healed, delivered and set free from the power of Satan. Bishop Larry Allen pastors the ROD OF GOD WORLDWIDE CHRISTIAN FAMILY CENTER in the city of Charlotte, a growing word-oriented church that is making an impact on hundreds of souls. Bishop Larry Allen is the host of the ROD OF GOD TELEVISION PROGRAM, aired nationally over the New Inspirational Satellite Network. Letters come in daily from people across the nation for salvation, healing, deliverance, and all spiritual blessings through the Rod Of God's phone counseling center. God has used the T.V. program to share in teaching, singing, testimonies, and fellowship that inspires all people to victorious Christian living in Jesus Christ our Lord. The Rod Of God Ministry has a community outreach center that ministers out food and clothing to those in need both locally and nationally. Bishop Larry Allen has shared on the PTL Club, Dove Broadcasting Ministries, Good Morning For Jesus, The Richard Roberts Program, and several other Christian Television programs. Along with all his other duties, Bishop Larry Allen travels evangelistically. God is truly fulfilling the vision He gave to Bishop Larry Allen of going into all the world and teaching the Gospel to all the people. Bishop Allen is also the founder and president of the Rod Of God Bible Institute in Charlotte. Bishop Allen was selected as one of the “Outstanding Young Men of America.”
Doctor Bonnie Allen
II Corth. 5:17 says, "THEREFORE IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATURE; OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW." It is imperative that you understand MY LIFE, PAST, OR FUTURE MUST TOTALLY CONSIST OF JESUS. I also understand that Romans 1:20 says, "For the invisible things of Him for the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." You can clearly see God (the invisible) by the things He has done in my LIFE, and prayerfully give you the opportunity to praise God with me as He increases your faith and gives you the opportunity to praise God with me. I've been blessed with a wonderful man of God, Bishop Larry Allen. We were married December 24, 1972. We now have three (3) lovely ladies to train in the admonition of God. Niambi, born July 17, 1977, Camellia, born May 19, 1982, and Latoya, born February 10, 1988, whom we affectionately call Angel, Sonshine, and Morning Star, which are all given names.
I came to the revelation of who God was in 1977 and from that point it has been a continuous growth by entering into the Holy of Holies. My natural achievements consist of: Principal of the ROD OF GOD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY; Ordained Minister; Notary Public; Aerobic Instructor; Red Cross CPR Instructor; Outstanding Young Woman Of America; LPN; and Doctorate degree in Theology. God has been so gracious and merciful to me, for I want to clearly see God. Each time I see one of his beloved ones operating in His power, I CLEARLY SEE MY FATHER!
